An Angel of Azteca deities was stolen from his cradle by a Nagual Witch. Raised as her own, his provenance unknown but distinctly unlike other Witches, Rafael trains as a curandero (and a Catholic) to use the “magic” he does possess, relieving people of spiritual ills. Despite the peace he can bring to others, he is at unrest in himself. His palms pile with dirt as he is desperate to be clean, but while he prays to the wrong God for peace, and his soul strays further from home. He came seeking a vision, and now is lost in Never.

Unbeknownst to this bookbinding amnesiac, the cause of his forgetfulness lingers on the edges of town, watching from afar, ever wary of threatening the tenuousness of Solomon’s mental state and safety.
