Introduction
Appearance
Notable Features
When he is in spirit form, he appears bloodied and wretched. When he is solid at night, his wounds appear as scars. Claw marks rake across his chest, and bite wounds decorate his throat, ribs, and legs.Personal Style
Ishan style is simply practical, devoid of the creativity and passion he had in life. In his job at the mine, he will wear a proper shirt and trousers in neutral colours. But in spirit form, he wears what he died in: a fully buttoned charcoal shirt, a pale hide vest, flexible trousers, pale leather chaps, and a black western hat.Circumstances
Currently
Ishan still hunts. He still tracks.During the day, when he is too weak to be solid, he hunts the town of Never for bad men. He wants to punish them. Thieves, killers, liars. If he sees someone commit a crime of law or morality in Never he will stalk them as a vengeful spirit. He will attempt to terrify and oppress. Attempt to chase them off, to be rid of them all, for he no longer believes they can ever be changed.
When he is not stalking bad men, he is at the edge of town, by the tracks, playing guitar and singing eerie tunes of loss, wolves, and rage. If one listens closely, they may hear it.
At night, however, when the town of Never permits, and he feels closest to being human, he goes to work, protecting the mine. It offers that sense of duty that he finds so precious. A sense of purpose, and hours of quiet within which he may sketch or write a new terrifying song.
Has a small ramshackle house in the northern part of Mystic.
Health & Capabilities
He is dead. However, when he is slightly less dead, he seems generally healthy save for all his scars. He may limp on bad days. Perhaps bleed from old wounds on worse ones. But generally, he's pretty athletic and nimble from a lifetime out in the wilderness.
Socioeconomics
Despite being a ghost, Ishan has a steady job that pays him enough to keep a small rickety old house and to support his hobbies. During the day, his home sits seemingly deserted, collecting dust and cobwebs.Skills & Talents

𖡼 Night
He will leave his home at dusk and walk to the mine, where he spends the rest of the night until Dawn fulfilling his duties as a guard.
Personality
𖡼 EarnestIshan is an honest man. He does not try to hide his emotions if he believes they are valid and reasonable. He is a sensitive man, a lover of natural things and good people. He gravitates to generosity, compassion, and creativity, and is unconditionally supportive when good men and women struggle through vices and flaws.
Unless those vices and flaws are harmful to others.
𖡼 Angry
He does not abide greed or conceit. His wrath is incurred by those who take more than they give, or those who manipulate and lie. He has been hunting predators his whole life, but it is only after death where he's truly learned to hate them. People who earn his wrath see much more of him, are more plagued by his hauntings than anyone else. He will follow them relentlessly if he is able.
Background
History
LifeIshan was happy.
A happy child, born to a merchant father from India and Haudenosaunee(Iroquois) mother in the Northeastern States. His parents were travellers, and though they faced many trials and tribulations, not the least of which was rampant prejudice, they were generous, creative people. They loved nature and instilled in him a deep respect for the land and the animals.
This worldview they gave him stayed with him throughout his life, including a particular love for wolves, in pack dynamics, in the part they played in the natural and mythological world and the enigmas they represented.
He played freely. He loved freely. He sang and wrote and read and sketched to his heart's content as they travelled back and forth across America, crafting and peddling their wares. It was his books his mother shared with him that first sparked his interest in bounty hunting. Tales of adventurous heroes defeating bandits and highwaymen struck a chord in him early. His fascination with justice only grew more with each passing year and every turned page.
Naturally, when he came of age, he turned to the pinkertons. Already a talented tracker and hunter, he was a valuable asset to the organization. He became renowned for his abilities, and though he was realistic enough to realize many of the men he brought in would be sent to a noose, he deeply believed in redemption, in the ability for men to change and grow.
Wolves continued to be a recurring theme. Every time he heard a howl in the distance, unless he was in the middle of a chase or a fight, he'd pause what he was doing and just listen for the answers. It was his meditation. His peace. Those were the moments that connected him most to the world around him.
Death
It was a strange bounty. No details beyond a location and that they were to catch a man in black.
A small team of four, Ishan included, set out into the forests of Western New Mexico. It wasn't just dark in those trees, it was oppressive. The shadows seemed to press and swallow at their lights. And as dark as it was, and with the land as dangerous as it was, they decided to set up camp to avoid laming a horse.
Wolves howled in the distance. Ishan paused with the song he was strumming on his guitar to listen, and it was this pause that saved him from the first attack. He heard the snapping of twigs. He felt the ripple of tension across his arms. Shadows descended on them at the edges of the campfire, too quick to see clearly. Ishan was on his feet first with his rifle, but he couldn't see. Everything was moving. Only the gurgling cut-off of a scream alerted him to the death of his friend. Then another.
The fire went out as if the wind itself betrayed him. He was attacked. He ran. The screams of his companions followed in his wake as something stalked him through the woods, tearing at his flesh and clothes. He tried to fight but found only air and mocking laughter where he expected flesh.
He thought he got away. In his mad escape through the darkness, he didn't see the cliff until he was tumbling down it. And he landed, bloodied and broken, but alive. He laid there for what felt like an eternity, hopeful that he'd escaped. That their attackers wouldn't follow him down. That he was skilled enough to put himself back together come morning and survive, even if he had to crawl out of a canyon.
But morning never came. The wolves, however, did.
After death
His solid AF worldview cracked and shattered in death. He believes they were ambushed. He wonders if the Pinkertons even set them up, because of the vagueness and the strangeness of the orders. And in his afterlife, this sunny passionate man grew angry with the world. With criminals. He no longer believed in redemption. With death came a realization that evil existed, that some things were darkness and death and would always be thus.
He still sang, but his songs bled with rage and grief. He still loved, but his love of nature and wolves and the spirits of men twisted into something broken and confused.
Powers & Magic
Powers Use
He uses his power to terrorize his targets with the following haunting-type experiences:𖡼 The world around them may become colder and/or darker.
𖡼 They may feel eyes on them
𖡼 Their anxiety may ramp up.
𖡼 They may hear wolves howling in the distance even in broad daylight
𖡼 The shadows around them may twist and turn like they're reaching out.
It is not a conscious use of power, but rather a chaotic eruption of his rage. He is aware that he is doing something, but in his turmoil, it is far more emotion and reactionary than reason. He is generally calmer and reasonable at night, and less likely to lash out with his powers, but he also encounters people less at night.
Plotting
Romance
Ghost romance? Sure!He is angry, but he is a passionate man. In life he had so much good in his heart, a romance to remind him of that would be fitting. He would be attracted to someone who is either good and believes in humanity, or someone who is bad or 'amoral' and shows him that bad people can in fact change for the better.
Friends
For people who do not harm others or take more than they give, befriending him would be easy... provided they encounter him at night, or they are able to interact with spirits during the day.He is a very earnest man, however, and even bad people could probably befriend him if they choose, provided they are good liars.
Antagonism
Anyone who he sees do something bad or hurt someone or steal or lie in a bad way, he's coming for you.Kinks

Switch
Generally not my most adventurous character. He's probably real experienced in two very simple positions, but if he were to hook up with a more adventurous partner, he'd be cool with most things. However he probably wouldn't like being bitten. Because wolves killed him so it's kinda a thing.
